2. Choose the right essential oil.
There are hardly any wrong choices here, since your intention is what matters. But here are some general guidelines if you don’t know where to start:
- Root Chakra: this chakra benefits from grounding, so any essential oils made from trees or roots are a good choice. (Cedarwood, Cypress, Spruce, Vetiver, Frankincense, Ginger)
- Sacral Chakra: this chakra benefits from joy and happiness, so any essential oil that is uplifting like florals and citruses are good choices. (Rose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Sweet Orange, Tangerine, Patchouli, Geranium)
- Solar Plexus Chakra: this chakra benefits from a blend that is sweet, woody, and restorative. (Juniper Berry, Lemon, Cypress, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Lavender, Cedarwood, Sandalwood)
- Heart Chakra: like the sacral chakra, this chakra benefits from joy and happiness. (Rose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Sweet Orange, Tangerine, Patchouli, Geranium)
