7 Essential Oils For Better Sleep

Yawning through the day, dazing off, lack of concentration, irritability, heightened stress… All of these can be caused by a poor night's rest.

We live in a demanding society, where all too often our to-do lists take priority over self-care. Our late-night projects, early morning meetings, and all of life's demands can impact not only the amount of sleep we allow ourselves but also the quality of our rest.

Sleep issues are such a problem that the CDC says sleep deprivation is a public health epidemic.

The recommendation for adequate sleep is seven hours a night. Without that, our bodies and minds can’t reset. This can lead to increased stress, increased blood pressure, chronic health conditions like diabetes and obesity, moodiness, inability to focus and concentrate, and so much more.

Inadequate sleep doesn't just come in the form of not-enough-hours, it can also come as sleep that isn’t peaceful. If we sleep for the recommended seven hours a night, but our bodies are tense, stressed, and agitated, those same health concerns can happen!

So what can we do to ensure we are giving ourselves the rest our bodies need and deserve? There are many natural resources at our fingertips! Essential oils are a great tool that can help us in this very area.
